Assemblies of God World Missionary
Susan was born and raised in Alabama, U.S.A. She majored in chemical engineering at the University of Alabama. Upon graduation, she completed the national Chi Alpha Campus-Minister-In-Training internship at Western Washington University in 1991. She then joined the Chi Alpha staff at the University of Alabama until 1993. From 1993-1999, she served as Chi Alpha staff and then director at the University of South Alabama. In 1999 she led a student team to Japan. Later that year, she returned and served as a full-time English teacher at Mizonokuchi Christ Church in Kawasaki, Japan until 2002. In 2004, she returned to Japan as an AGWM missionary.
Favorite foods: gyoza, mabo dofu, Italian
Hobbies: singing gospel and praise music, playing piano, trying out computer software, reading
Favorite color: purple
Favorite verse: Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.”
